The Medical Assistant Certificate program at River Valley Community College is presented in a hybrid format and consists of online and campus-based classes (campus classes attended one day a week) and 560 hybrid didactic hours, followed by a 160-hour practicum attended in-person in a clinical setting.

Graduates of this program are qualified to sit for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification exam.

While not eligible for FAFSA funding, students in this program may be eligible for other financial aid resources including school-sponsored scholarships as well as up to $6,500 in tuition assistance through Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding.

The University of New Hampshire offers its fully-online Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certification course through its Professional Development & Training Division.

The self-paced course of study allows students to log on and complete course requirements according to their own busy schedules. Study convenience is carried over to the open enrollment format that allows students to begin their studies at any time.

Graduates are eligible to sit for the exam for CCMA certification, the cost of which is included in the program fee.
